We are expanding our precision machining capacity in Riudecols to meet the challenges of electric mobility
We have expanded our precision machining capacity at our Riudecols facilities in order to meet the new demands of the automotive sector, particularly in the field of electric mobility. The project combines new installations with the modernisation of existing equipment and improved quality control of our parts.
One of the main actions is the new filtration unit, equipped with a cooling system, which recovers the cutting oil used in the grinding machines so it can be reused in the production process. In addition, this installation has been designed with growth in mind, as it allows more machinery to be added in the future.
The project also includes the modernisation of two grinding machines and the addition of new eddy current inspection equipment. This technology detects defects both on the surface of the parts and just below it, a key check for components such as the torsion bars used in steering systems.
This investment has received support from ACCIÓ, under the programme of grants for high-impact business investments, 2024 call, line 2.2.
